What is photography?

If we divide photography into two parts, then two words are formed. Photo and graphics.
Photo means light. The word photo is derived from a science photon’s which also means light. And on the other hand, grapy which means drawing.
So photography means drawing with light. The camera which we are using only reads the light. And the one who reads this goes in front of us in the form of picture photo.
Photography works on the principal of our eyes. Because our eyes also do light reading. And we can see the scene by the light that our eyes read. So we can say that our eyes also do photography.

What is Exposure?

When we take a photo with the camera, we must have often seen that sometimes the photo is too dark and sometimes too white. So it all happens due to exposure value. When we keep the exposure right then our photo will come with the right color and light.
So the question arises that how do we click the photo so that in every situation our photo comes out beautiful with the right light and color. You can do all this with the help of Exposure.
- First of all put your camera on manual mode. (M Mode On Camera Dial)
- After this you look at any subject from View Finder, you will see an Exposure meter running inside. In which you will see some numbers and a meter. In which 0 will be seen in the middle and left side of 0 will show -ve numbers and right side +ve numbers will be seen. Your effort should be that your photo gets 0 clicks.
- If clicked in -ve then many photos will be underexposed means dark photo will come.
- On the other hand, if you click in +ve, then many photos will be overexposed and your photos will be very over bright.
You always have to try that your photos are clicked on 0 only.
Now the question arises that how to bring the Exposure meter to 0 ?.
Just like tripod has three legs, exposure also depends on three variables. These three variables are Aperture, Shutter Speed and ISO.
Through the upcoming articles, we will also understand in detail about these three.
