What Is Landscape Photography? What You Need To Know About Landscape Photography

When we see a very beautiful scene in a picture which has mountains, rivers and waterfalls. And seeing such pictures gives great relief to the heart. This type of photo is called landscape photo, and this type of photography is called landscape photography.
Every photographer likes landscape photography. Because when you connect with nature, you get a very good energy. Landscape photography is an easy photography and we can click such beautiful photos even with a basic camera. This works great when you want to get lost in nature. You will have a lot of fun in this type of photography because you get to learn about new things in it.
We see how quickly changes are taking place in nature around us. We are seeing how we humans are destroying nature as per our convenience. One of the reasons behind my love for landscape photography is that I get to see nature very closely. In this we can see the beauty around us which we are often unable to see due to our busy schedule.
And this kind of photography brings out the love for nature in your mind. From which it can be understood that nature is screaming at us that no more.
What Is landscape photography
Landscape photography is a forum for landscape art. Landscape art has been popular in the form of paintings and Chinese art for thousands of years. Landscape photography captures the beauty of nature which includes mountains, rivers, waterfalls, ocean, desert etc.
If I explain in simple language, capturing a large amount of land is called landscape photography. It means capturing big places but it is more significant in the metropolis like mountains, sea, anything related to nature like sun rise, sun set and where there are a lot of people’s houses. Landscape is a very large area and contains some nature related content. This type of photography is called landscape photography.

Landscape Photography is a wide angle photography in which you capture the scene of nature with a very wide angle lens so that the entire scene is captured with feel. Many things are important in me.
Just like whenever you are capturing a photo, what is going on in the ground that is the point of interest, the sky is also an important element, and you also have to keep in mind what is in your foreground.
If We Talk About the best place in India which is best for landscape photography.
Because if we look at India, the weather keeps changing, at many places the weather remains very clear, like if you go to Ladakh, Manali, Lahole, Spiti, the weather there remains very clear and the sky looks completely blue and the pollution is also negligible. So that’s why I would consider these types of places as the best places for landscape photography.
Now if I talk about North East, then Meghalaya is a very cool place for landscape photography.
Similarly, there is Munsiyari in Uttarakhand, and Uttarakhand itself is the best place for landscape photography.
One thing you should note is that for a good landscape, you have to do photography keeping the weather and pollution in mind.
I know many of you may be students who have just started photography, so for them, going to the mountains and doing landscape photography becomes a bit complicated, so you can explore your city only and I can say with certainty that There must be some very beautiful place near your city. So initially you explore yourself in them only.
Tripod in Landscape Photography

Most of the landscape photographers avoid taking a tripod with them because it is quite difficult to carry a tripod with them. But believe me, it is very important for you to have a tripod for landscape photography because sometimes you have to stand in the same position for some time to capture the beauty of nature.
Key Ingredients of Landscape photography
The most important things in landscape photography are foreground, midground and background.
As you can see in the photo, there is grass in the foreground and mountains in the midground. And finally there is the sky in the background.

Now the reason why a beginner photographer is confused is where to focus in landscape photography?
Often when we do landscape photography we want large depth of field. Where everything is in focus. In our case you can see that we have foreground, midground and background. And we want all three of them to be sharp and focused.
Let us remember that our DOF (Depth Of Field) always depends on the aperture size, focal length, and focus point. Always remember that the area of focus / depth is always around your focus point.
Suppose we are talking about hyper focal distance and I have taken my focus point on the tree seen in the photo. So at this hyper focal distance my DOF is 2/3rd moving towards the tree and 1/3rd moving towards the camera before the tree. So this area will remain in sharp focus.
Is Composition a Matter in Landscape Photography?

See, like other photography genres, in Landscape photography too we have to take special care of composition.
As we know that the first rule of composition is “Rule of Thirds”, in this we divide our frame into three equal parts. And the places where these lines intersect each other are called intersection points. In this case we get a total of 4 intersection points. And you have to set the interesting elements at your intersection point.
And similarly, you can also apply other composition rules and by seeing the result you will be able to understand which composition rule is suitable in which time, place and season. Note that you will understand all this only with practical, so after reading each chapter, you have to do its practical also.
Landscape Photography Setup
Landscape Photography is a wide angle photography in which you capture the scene of nature with a very wide angle lens so that the entire scene is captured with feel. Many things are important in me.

Just like whenever you are capturing a photo, what is going on in the ground that is the point of interest, the sky is also an important element, and you also have to keep in mind what is in your foreground.
Now the question arises that how can we start this? Or what are the things one needs to start landscape photography?
1st . To be a professional landscape photographer, you must have a good camera.
First of all you need a good camera (DSLR) which you should have. Because we have complete freedom in DSLR that we can set the settings of the camera as per our own. And that’s why professional landscape photographers use DSLRs.
2nd After the camera is your Wide Angle Lens
The main thing you should have after the camera is your Wide Angle Lens. Your normal kit lens is what we call a mid wide angle lens but we also can’t call it an ultrawide angle lens. Your kit lens is 18 mm, its effective focal length is 27mm and in the language of photography, 27mm wide length is not much length. That’s why you may need to invest in an ultrawide angle lens if you want to become a professional landscape photographer.
The third thing you must have in landscape photography is a tripod.
Because we are taking a photo of a very large area, the detail that is there will be very important so if you are taking the photo without a tripod, then you can get softness in your photo when you are taking the photo on a larger screen. You will see that the photo is not clear. That is why it is recommended to always use a tripod in landscape photography.
4th thing which is very important for you in landscape photography.
If you are a professional landscape photographer then you must have a shutter releaser. The shutter release will prevent you from manually triggering your camera. With its help you can trigger your camera wirelessly.
The shutter release is also available wirelessly and wired.
And nowadays there are some applications available in Android also which you can use to release the shutter.
Our main objective here is that whenever you capture a landscape photograph you do not touch the camera so that there is no blur of any kind in the photo.
You must have all these types of things to become a good landscape photographer. But first of all you should know about the basic settings and functions of the camera and you can access all this by clicking here.
